Wang Keping - All Smiles

After a totally new exhibition in Shanghai, the Chinese sculptor offers an equally singular selection in the French capital. All smile, recounts a strong conceptual anchorage by the wood exploration. This way, Wang Keping makes sculptures and installations coexist and even superimpose, he mixes words and images, he resizes the space and transcend the concept of total art.

Real pioneer of contemporary Chinese art, Wang Keping goes further for All in smile covering all the architectural development with the bricks through a game of forms that corresponds to many significations. Each change of observer angles match with a change of interpretation and emotion.The whole work of Wang Keping includes a message of wisdom, introducing both a subtle eroticism and an appeal to the individual resistance.

The artist is known all over the world and his works travel, from Beijing to Tokyo, through  Hong-Kong and New York where the exhibition  Retrospective  at the Today Art Museum “Origin Point” was dedicated to him in 2007.  The fact that the artist reveals his artistic inspirations transmits to the spectator a strong emotion about his creations.
