Opening 25 June, 2010
If Not Now, When commemorates the 60th anniversary of the start of Korean War and centers the attention on the ability of art to function as a peace worker and a resistor.
Kosta Kulundzic will show two big drawings made from Chinese ink on paper, both taken from the series, Was it Us? that lead a reflexion on all the ethnic/political wars that have taken place in the past, focusing on the fact that history repeats itself, whether in Korea, Bosnia, Iraq and so forth. This series was made for an exhibition in the Duplex Art Center in the city of Sarajevo, Bosnia this year. Coming from former Yugoslavia, and hurt by what happened there, Kosta Kulundzic doesn't focus his work on a peticular geographical place, but believes that we are confonted with a global evil that has been gnawing away at our history and society since forever.
