Erwin Olaf for Lavazza's 2012 Calendar

Seeing Erwin Olaf personally on the 20th edition “The Lavazzers” calendar! This year The Lavazzer invites Erwin Olaf and 11 other photographers and interpreted themselves in an unusual and imaginative way which shows the intimate relationship between the photographer and the coffee.
The self-portraits of Erwin Olaf is the start of the year, January. Olaf place himself in his personal studio in Amersterdam while bodies contorted on the floor, wall, and ceilings around him. His main idea is to present the thoughts of artist minds while thinking coffee. Olaf says, “My main inspiration is the human body. I have always loved what light does on a body in the studio, and how a landscape of skin is created. So naturally, the body is on my mind.”
