Artworks from the National Center Of plastic arts (CNAP).
The exhibition ARCHITECTURE/DRAWINGS/UTOPIAS presents a selection from the collection of the National center of Plastic arts. It is about artists ‘drawings on the theme of architecture and architects drawings beyond architecture in itself. The drawing is revealed as an investigation tool, very concrete, structuring a reality leading to real architectural proposals. Meanwhile it is also a testimony of imaginary and utopist architectures form a reversed order: weightlessness, space dilatation, and time’s abolition where utopia and fantasy dominate.
Commissionership : Ruxandra Balaci, art director from the Bucarest’s MNAC with Claude Allemand-Cosneau ‘s collaboration, general curator of the CNAP.
The exhibition groups together artworks of Vito Acconci, Élisabeth Ballet, Étienne Bossut, Rosemarie Castoro, Chen Zhen, Yona Friedman, Garouste et Bonetti, Kabakov, P . Nicolas Ledoux, Sol Lewitt, Mat Mullican, Roman Ondak, Lucy Orta, Claude Parent et François Letaillieur, Giuseppe Penone, Georges Rousse, Tatiana Trouvé, Yuan Yong Ping, etc.
